Lenovo Ideapad Slim 7i Laptop Review

This is a 14 inch laptop from Lenovo Slim 7i series and it has a decent specs for the price it’s being sold. Below is the unboxing video of this laptop. I found this laptop during Black Friday sale for $499 from a major retailer. It has a powerful 11th Gen i5 processor, 8 GB RAM and 512GB Solid State Drive.

It comes with a fingerprint sensor and windows hello facial recognition feature which is super helpful. The front lid top has a fabric cover which is one of the highlight of Slim 7i series. Keyboard is good with sufficient key travel but the track pad is small and clunky at times.

Downsides of Lenovo Ideapad Slim 7i

One of the major downside with this laptop is it’s upgradability. You will not be able to upgrade the RAM after purchasing it as the RAMs are soldered into the motherboard. I usually don’t buy or recommend buying the laptops with soldered RAM as that can be a costly repair down the line.

Also the laptop was slowing down sporadically after long use and having multiple chrome tabs opened. Google Chrome browser is known to be a resource hog but in my usage its worse with Lenovo Slim 7i.
